We teach these principles to Boys and Girls from ages 5-21!

How We Do It

At the Freeport Junior Club, we teach and promote firearm safety. We also develop the skills, attitude and knowledge needed for Juniors to successfully compete in shooting sports. We also foster a great sportsmanship between the kids.

You can qualify as a Pro-Marksman, Marksman, Marksman 1st Class, Sharp Shooter, Expert and Distinguished Expert. Both NRA and CMP programs are available. Riflery is one of the safest sports offered for children and young adults. Disciplines include “BB”, .177 Pellet and .22 Rifle.

Junior Club Membership Information

Our program runs from Last Sunday of September to the 3rd week of June and we meet on Sunday’s from 2:00pm till 6:00pm when school is in session. If there is a 3-day weekend, WE DO NOT MEET. If you’re not sure if we’re meeting, you can always check our calendar or call us to confirm.

Membership cost covers ammo, targets and the use of our rifles and pistols. Some activities may require an additional fee.

Come down any Sunday during our season/session and give it a try for FREE. There is no obligation to join. If you’re coming down for the first time, we have a Basic Firearm Safety class every Sunday at 2:30pm. Try your best to be at the facility by 2:00pm. This will give you enough time to fill out the necessary paperwork to take the trial class.

Riflery is one of the SAFEST sports offered for children and young adults. And best of all, Parent Participation is Encouraged!
